We can help you to search for and to find missing people and animals.

For all disappearances, the most important aspect is the time interval. Therefore, your first and most important task is to make a call as soon as possible. From the point of view of tracking, the best tracking trace is started within 48 hours!

What kind of questions should you be prepared to answer when you make a phone call:

• Where and in what circumstances did he/she disappear?
• When did he/she disappear?
• In what kind of environment did he/she disappear?
• Age, characteristics, weight?
• And all other extra information, which could help us!

What should you prepare with, what is your task before the search?

For People: Any object, that was used or worn by the person who disappeared. For example: socks, gloves etc.

In case of animals: Any object, that might carry the smell of the disappeared dog or cat. Such as a blanket, rag, toy, bed

Important!

Please, do not touch the object with your own hands, but take on rubber gloves or take it with a nipper and put it in a sealable nylon bag OR in case of smaller objects in an unused jar and close it with its lid so that your odor gets as far as possible!

FAQ

- Should I be there at the time of pet search?

• Yes, during the search the owner need to be present in all cases as the pets are frightened, in addition to this the search dog is chasing them. It is important, that after a successful search the owner can call the animal, because we can only show the hiding-place of him/her. So it is the owner’s task to call him/her in.

- What if the animal is so afraid that he/she will not come out of his/her hiding-place?

• For this case we can use so called live animal traps, when we already know where the cat or dog can be.
• We also gained a lot of experience during our searches even in capturing frightened animals and we will help the owners with that experience and some ideas during the capturing process.

- What does live animal trap mean? Can my pet be injured?

• These traps are completely safe for the animal. Based on their operating principle the animal enters the trap and the door closes. However, the mode of placing the trap is very important as well as its location. It has to be checked at the appropriate time intervals. Of course we will help you with all of this. - For what should I pay attention to during the search?

• The most importnat is that you do not disturb the search with questions. Please make your questions preferably before the search has started.
• Do not touch, stroke the dog, do not talk to her while she is working because it can be disturbing for her.
• It is also important that you always have to walk behind us, try to keep pace with me and stay between the leash and the dog.
• It is also important that in all cases you walk behind us and try to focus not to get between myself and the dog.
• It is also good to know, that the pace of the search can change. Either the search dog makes „circles” or she starts up. We recommend you to use comfortable, closed shoes and long-sleeved trousers as the area of search can be stinging and the pace can get pretty fast.

- How long does the search take?

• This is completely varied. It depends on the size of the area to be searched and also on whether we have a track. If there is a track, but area is not good, then it can take even 2-3 hours. In a fortunate case the cat or dog can be found quickly. However, if there is no track, the search can end earlier as well. That is why it is important to emphasize, that after the disappearance contact us in the shortest time as soon as possible.

- When can you come?

• As I have a steady job, the search is only voluntary work now, so unfortunately we cannot start always immediately. However, we always try to go as soon as possible. Please note, that normally we can only make search in the area of Budapest.

- Can you come in every case?

• Cannot answer that. Every case is different. If already 2 weeks passed since the disappearance and no one saw him/her then unfortunately the search is not justifiable.
• The chances for a successful search can be reduced by severe weather as well.
• Sadly if your animal was stolen, we cannot help in detection.
• It is important, actually the most important aspect, that the search dog itself needs rest, so we can undertake the search only, if I take into account the condition of my dog to the maximum as she is the key for a successful search and above all, she is my everything!

- How much is it?

• In order to keep our work at such a high standard, we charge you an on-site service fee for the pet searching, that covers our basic operating costs (eg special clothing, equipment, etc.). Regarding travel costs we have 2 options: 1 when the pet owner can help us to get to the site (by car) or 2 when we have to arrange our travel on our own; in this 2nd case we need to raise the on-site service fee with adding a travel cost as well. However, for the search itself we do not ask for any financial contribution, so if you can, please help us by donating.
